West Indies Tour 2022

The tour groups are either not running tours at all or only doing Barbados. Not sure what to read into that, if anything. I fancy Antigua or Granada but is there more doubt about those?

I imagine that to make a tour viable you need a certain number of people and Barbados is the most popular.

The main problem seems to be internal flights between the islands if you want to do a second test. Doubt there’s much to pick from now.

I guess the advantage of the T20's is that you can be in and out of the ground in a few hours, and pick and choose which ones to go to if you don't fancy doing all five. For test matches you're committed to be in the ground all day for anything up to five days on the trot.

What's the entry requirements for Barbados? Negative test within 3 days or is there any quarantine requirements?

In theory you’ve got to quarantine for up to 48 hours until your PCR comes back but it’s 4.5 months away. Doesn’t seem to be putting many off.

My understanding is that if quarantine does happen you can still use the hotel pool, bar etc anyway.

Had to change my digs as they're not on the Barbados approved accommodation list. Now staying at the Michelin apartments. The approved accommodation list and various other CV19 info can be found .

I've also sorted my flights with KLM who've only recently started flying to Barbados. They only fly three days a week Mon, Thu & Sat but I'm having a night in Amsterdam on my way out. Economy flights for my travel dates (23/01-05/02 NCL-AMS-BGI) start at approx £380 return. Because the prices are so low I've booked business return which is less than business one way with BA. Only problem is a stop in Port of Spain on the way back so extra tests may be required.

FFS. I’ve just got an AirBnB. Will keep my fingers crossed that the rules are eased…

Testing on arrival & quarantine for Barbados scrapped from 24th October.

Back to square one. The restrictions were putting me off so looked at Holland ODIs instead

Would have to be the t20s like. The flight prices for the test series are outrageous

I found 650 and 700 when looking last night, which isn’t much more than they were in 2009. BA flight sale ends on Oct 27th.

Just pending annual leave confirmation at work now for the t20s. Anyone know the going rate for t20 tickets over there?
