West Indies Tour 2022

Pre pandemic I’d have been eagerly awaiting the venues and getting ready to book flights and accommodation. Just can’t even contemplate it at the moment though. Doing that again seems a long way off

Out of interest what kind of prices are we talking. I know it will be hard to put a figure on it as will all be dependant on length of stay, venue in Caribbean, standard of accommodation, days of cricket etc etc. Who do you usually book through. It’s on my bucket list.

I got flights with Virgin for £500 return and digs through booking.com for £70 a night last time. Did 10 nights in Barbados. Sure you could find cheaper digs as well mind

I’d love to go like, if we’re allowed - which quite frankly is looking a doubt at this stage.

Anyone got any idea what islands we’ll be likely playing on?

Barbados and Antigua sound like bankers. Would love a random non-violent location for the other...

I’m far more optimistic/ naive about the prospect of fans at this one. Looking forward to hanging me flag up in the Hewett & Innes lower 😎

Barbados and Antigua always have to host tests if they are in the west indies, i think the other one maybe grenada/trinidad

I'm booking up with my mates when we find out, been looking at Virgin Holidays £1350 each All Inclusive for 7 Days from Manchester on the 3 dates given.
Also, Air Lingus is looking to fly direct to barbados from Manchester, could be a good alternative.

Apparently the venues will be announced at the end of April.

Been looking at flights and digs for Barbados over the dates the T20's are played and I can do it for £1300. Would prefer St Lucia this time but anything different from Barbados would be very tempting.

beautiful place St Lucia.
T20s would be more fun I rekon than a test match.

Cost me about £900 for 7 days in Barbados in 2015. That was flights and accommodation booked independently, There's less option for flights now since Thomas Cook Airlines went tits up (that's who I flew with).

I expect if there's still lots of pent up demand it'll be a lot dearer. Package tours with Barmy Army etc will be well north of £2k p/p I'd think going off previous tours.

My birthday is near the date of the last T20. Might have a dodge for that. Not keen on Barbados though. There's a big gap between the last T20 and first test, shame they cannit squeeze a few ODI's in.

The T20's are only gonna be held in two different venues apparently, so guessing it'll be a 3/2 or 2/3 split.

If I go it'll be the last 2 or 3 of those for me most likely (my birthday is beginning of Feb too). In a break with tradition, I've offered to take the missus if she wants to go! She's undecided though.

A lot of people are banking on the 1st or 2nd test being in Barbados so booking two weeks holiday to cover both dates, prices have gone through the roof for flights etc apparently).
