He tried to stand up and do a few runs on the sidelines and fell over almost immediately. Looks like some kind of ligament thing as that’s usually symptomatic of an ACL - minimal actual pain due to the adrenaline but just cannot support yourself. Didn’t actually get as far as the pitch, but the medical staff were still poor for letting him even weight bear on it - was fairly clear from first glance he was fucked

Exactly this - if they were 3 points worse off then absolutely they’d be under the pump but there’s no chance they don’t get another point and tbh 42 should be alright.

I can't call it to be honest. Spurs on paper have the easier run-in, but as we know, there are no easy games.

West Ham seem to be hitting their stride at the right time, but Spurs' first win since Triceratops roamed the mean streets of north London is going to give them a bounce.

Coin toss for me, but if Forest slips and WHU and Spurs keep the pace, then it's game on again. Forest is only a win above the Hammers

It's a bit easier building on an old pit in Sunderland than having to buy land in London mind.

They didn't need to buy land in London, they already owned some. They had planning permission to increase their existing ground to 42,500, which given that their highest attendance until the move to the Olympic Stadium [including the years when there was no safety control on numbers] was 42,322, seemed perfectly suitable for West Ham as a club. However, the owners saw the quick profit from selling the land and moving, so they did.

Mags don't need a point unfortunately. Spurs would have to win 2 draw 2 (or win 3), West Ham would need to win 2.

Mind, they need to get themselves sorted for next season, they are one of the 3 worst teams in the league right at this moment imo.

Our capacity was woefully short of what we needed for our fan base for the PL, their’s was spot on. Bottom line, we wouldn’t have survived without moving, they didn’t actually need to move.
The ‘easy’ fixtures have gone for both West Ham and Spurs. I can’t see Spurs getting more than 5 points, so West Ham probably need a win and a draw to be safe.

It would have cost over £200M to sort their existing ground out over several years with minimal closures to keep the money rolling in. I suppose they could have moved out to the Olympic stadium for a couple of seasons. Maybe that would have been a solution but a massive freebie on their doorstep was too good to turn down.

Spurs by far the most likely to have a bounce back season next season, so that's who I want to go down as it would benefit us more next year.

Bookies basically have it a 50/50 coin toss now.

Is it the same leg that was cramping up in the game against Brighton, where he did actually play on as they'd have been down to 10 men. If it was, I wonder if some damage was done then causing the weakness and eventual breakdown against Wolves.

Think Spurs and the Hammers are capable of putting a late run together, Newcastle are on the slide, and I dont think 42 points will guarantee safety this season
