Best team won the league. no doubt about that. Ashley Giles has done a cracking job with the squad.
 
I still dislike Ashley Giles for being so infuriatingly shite when he played for England. Most defensive bowler I've ever seen in my life.

Vital part of the 2005 side, bowling to orders and holding up an end letting the battery bowl short and scary spells. Nothing short of mental to call him shite.

A bit sad the way it ended though, he got vilified in the 5-0 series IIRC, there was outrage Monty wasn't picked ahead of him and I remember in one test, Giles dropped a crucial catch at a vital time.

I agree with you about 2005 though, not just the ball but he contributed with the bat, especially at the Oval in the 2nd innings. Plus, the poor bloke's had a very tough time with his wife's illness.
