Well done Sunderland

I'm happy that we've retained Kone and Ndong, the penny might have dropped for Kone with no reasonable offers coming in for him and it's time for him to boss the league and try for a move in Jan.

Can't comment much about the defender or the midfielder that have come in, sounds like they've got ability but just need game time and McManaman has decent work rate and pace from what I can remember.

A new striker would have been nice but there didn't seem to be that many about who would have made a huge difference and it looks like McCormick was too much of a gamble probably due to his wages.

All in all in could have been a bit better but it also could have been a lot lot worse.

Time to kick on.

all things considered and the negativity shown on this board for the last 7 days, I think SG/MB have done a canny job to get 3 reasonable (but not world beaters) players in

We've done vaguely okay but, whilst we all want to try and be positive, at the start of the season I thought we'd be about mid table; these signings aren't enough for me to reassess that, still think there's not enough to push for promotion

Think we have the ability to have a strong season but whether we have the attitude to do so is questionable.

If the players can knuckle down and work for each other I think we'll see a turn in but if they don't we'll be mid table at best (still don't think we'd get relegated though).

Surprised how everyone's buzzing about the shrewd business we've done.. players are usually free for a reason. I wouldn't be surprised in 5 games time everyone talking about how shit we are and saying well that's what you get when you spend nothing.

Good positive post at least you gave the lads 5 games

The worst thing to happen this summer was when the sale fell through. Get used to signing shite nobody wants and years in the wilderness.
So all of the 280m on crap players over the past decade is his fault and not the managers at the time?

We need something positive like your best mate making up complete nonsense and passing it off as ITK truth. The ramblings of an insecure man endorsed by his insecure friend

Quiet you pathetic,lonely old fool

Papy replaced by Wilson
Khazri replaced by McManaman
Williams who is 23 to cover for Midfield where we've been relying on Cattermole and Gibson

Keeping Kone and NDong.

Not a bad bit of business for deadline day.

Kone and NDong staying are huge for me.
The 3 players in in all honesty I'm not sure of, but for what we had to spend he's done well.
I sincerely hope the days of signing last minute deals of players ready to retire are over.
Well done SG
