Congratulations Port Vale. Didn’t like how the commentators kept mentioning that their goal scorer was a Newcastle fan mind, felt it took away from their performance.

Big questions for RLB now, I’m sure he’ll find an answer.
 
Thet really deserved that win, no fluke at all. They battled harder, had a better game plan and played to their strengths. Good luck in the draw.
 
Did the basic stuff well, they outworked and outfought us. Do that and you have every chance. Disgusted with how we simply let the chance of a cup quarter final pass us by, first half inparticular.
 
They made to lost of their luck. O'Nien was fouled for the bad back pass and they scored off the resulting corner(s).

We let ourselves down second half. Had plenty of time to snatch a goal but we didn't do enough.

We used to live for days like this once. Games like this are important for football and one of the few things that keeps it authentic.

Sorry we had to be on receiving end of it but a) we were worse team and deserved to lose and b) it's better for everyone all round that the top tier don't automatically win everything all the time, especially when they don't deserve to
 
We didn't fancy it, they did. If you are not prepared to put in the hard yards like Port Vale did then you wont win anything no matter how good you think you are. Well done Vale and I hope you make loads of money in the next round.
