Wearing a replica top..

My opinion (which means nowt), retro shirts only allowed unless going to the match, at which point it should be encouraged, always looks better when the crowd is decked out in red and white.

Always cringe seeing lasses dressed up to the nines abroad whilst their lad has his football shirt on mind.

I'll be wearing my away top to travel to Greece in 3 weeks - purely because it's comfy and a nice top and it goes well with my shorts.

3 or 4 year ago i was in a computer shop in Phnom Penh buying a laptop. The lassi said do i want all the required programmes for an extra $25. Asia is cheap. Of course i said. She went out the back and about 30 mins later the I.T guy comes through wearing a barcode top and worse still shearer printed on back. Im no schoolteacher but belive me he got well educated!

Seen a wifey, looked early 60s, walking down blackhall front street with a skirt on to the ankles and the green short sleeve Newcastle goalie top on.

Just seen a bloke in his mid 60s say wearing a red n white replica top.Is there an age where this sort of behaviour stops becoming acceptable?Bear in mind I'm also in my 60s and would like a bit guidance.Do I stick with Greenwood's or follow his lead ?
Is Greenwood's still in business?

Paranoid that this is me now!

Where did you see said bloke?

Quite rare I wear a football top, I do normally get bought them by family for presents as I'm hard to buy for, but most of the time I'd wear dark t-shirts, usually plain but sometimes a band name and artwork or some movie reference.

Today it was particularly hot and humid and was in the house, so didn't actually have a top on (no pics - you really wouldn't want any) but had to nip to ASDA for some stuff, so I decided to hoye a Sunderland shirt on.

I was self conscious at the time, but I was a lot less sweaty wearing a football top than I would have been wearing a Black Sabbath T-shirt.

Really sorry to anyone who may have been shocked or embarrassed seeing my overweight carcass squashed into a Sunderland top

Wear them all the time tbh, mainly SAFC, Argentina, Spain, and Roma.....though open to other suggestions. Got a decent physique so looks good imo, and most importantly I like wearing them 🤷

BUT... stereotype alert... any mag sees it and they go on the attack straight away!? Had an absolute whopper a few months ago saying something to me - in front of the kids - and there was just no need. He shat himself when I replied in no uncertain terms that I thought he was lower than scum for doing so. Told him at the end that he develops half a brain cell I will happily discuss actual football with him, but went quiet after that. Absolute cliche speaking shit for brains...
Was down the beach last week walking along the prom and i seen this mag in his mag top coming towards me.
I was gonna knock the fucker off the prom onto the beach but he was holding his dad's hand so I thought better of it. He was at least 3 maybe 4 🤣🤣

mate just get yourself a nice woollen mustard colour cardigan with the round brown buttons. can't go wrong with that. people helping you across the road and pushing your shopping trolley around for you will significantly increase. other supporters will offer you cups of tea and bovril at the home games as well.

The key to happiness:

- Wear whatever makes YOU happy.
- Pity those that would look down on you for what you're wearing. Their lives must be shallow as hell if they need to do that.
- Don't "yuck" someone else's "yum". Find comfort and joy in the variation you see from other people.

Just at the airport and not seen any Sunderland attire but the mags are out in force. Obviously the only thing they will wear on their holiday
