We did our bit

Didn't they pretend it was entirely fan funded but some document got posted online where it had details of the club funding it so they dropped the pretence?
I know the club funded their Wembley display. Dunno about the rest.

I was checking Companies House last night just to try and tie down who owns what, but couldn't find much.

The fans were amazing. The volunteers were amazing. The display looked amazing (in our opinion)

We’ve done everything we can. We’ve taken enough of a battering from our own fans. We’re done.

Thank you for all your support. Fuck the mags.

Goodnight.

Head up.

Over the last few weeks, you have shown yourself to be just about the only institution connected to the club to have any class or excellence.

I really think the club have been a disgrace on this one like, pretty much ever since the group formed. It's not like they're the green brigade at celtic where you can imagine the political nature of their messaging etc might make them a hassle that a club could do without.

These lads have just done pro Sunderland displays throughout, only asking for one which was more risqué due to being a derby display. Fans generally love the displays, they look great for the club from a marketing perspective and they don't even need to get off their arse to make them happen.

To throw constant roadblocks at the lads, to move goal posts, to do things like not even providing a bit of water for people doing an actual full shift in the ground. It's pathetic.

And ultimately they've pushed and pushed until the lads have given up. Hope they're proud of themselves. At a time when the club could really do with keeping fans onside they've got rid of one of the things that 99% of the fans enjoyed and supported, for no good reason and no benefit. The bairn loved the displays, they made matches feel like an occasion. It's hard enough to keep their interest and get them hooked. What an absolute shame
Well said
Haway man, look at the font and the lay out of the letters, i was embarrassed stood opposite this to be honest, said to my mate The bloody mags will have field day with this, and from looking at twitter they have, are these not planned out precisely from a seating plan or have we just wung it, holes in the letters look odd, last E bigger than the first, odd sized W,

You’ve got some neck criticising this

Is no one allowed to criticise anything anymore, like i said i thought some of the displays have been excellent, i just didnt think saturdays was and its probably the one thats had the most eyes on it. might be just being a bit over sensitive as ive just had a morning of grief off the work lads (Mags)

Aye. Need to change my name to Deep Point or something. @Sillypoint is also a massive fan of the Hundred shite if I'm not mistaken, which I am not!
Ha'way the Crisp League!!! ;)

Sadly some people are never happy….thanks for all that you did.

I think people picking fault need to remember everything So37 have managed has been in the teeth of opposition from the club - for some reason. Difficult to get everything completely geometrically perfect if there’s a handful of lads only given a couple of hours access from the club with loads of hurdles in their way.

Even if the mags entirely self fund - which I enormously doubt - from what I gather they get however long they want to set up, are allowed to store stuff in the concourse overnight without a health and safety berk playing silly buggers, stewards help them lay stuff out etc etc etc. For some reason our ownership group have decided it’s too much like hard work and would rather our lads just turn up, sit quietly and leave.

And as ever…if anyone thinks they can do a better job, by all means set up a Spirit of 73 and crack on. See if you get any further - oh, and you’d best have everything perfect or we’ll all be carping on from the sidelines here while doing sweet f a to help.

Nothing mate. It’s the end of the road for us.

It’s became a drain on our personal lives, one of the lads has became quite ill (may or may not be related but he needs to focus on his health), the club have been less than great to deal with and it’s just not worth it.
Is there any chance of any of your group staying on? FWIW I thought yous were fantastic

Just speaking my mind, i thought it looked a bit naff, especially compared to some others weve done (Cat Eyes) Dortmund are the elite of TIFO displays and that looks perfect to me,

Although i didnt know about the club not helping with it, maybe i was just wound up already given what had gone on in the build up to the game from the club, didnt want to give them T**Ts up the road any more ammo, and theyve rinsed us for it
Why do you care what they say? They’ve never put forward a grown up criticism once it’s all cheap shots, irrelevant stuff to football and fabricated childish stuff. Their flags are funded by a state they are vile hypocrites who play the hard done by card when it suits
