We are back

This is the statement signing of KLD’s tenure. I think it signals that as a football club we are back and ready to compete again. It’s been a slow building process but now ready to go all out to get back to where we belong. The gears have been changed.
I remember similar being said when we made the statement signing of Will Grigg, just hope there isn't too much pressure and expectations put on this lad.

What it says is that Regis Le Bris has done enough and shown enough for the powers that be back him.

By mid feb we should have something like our strongest XI and bench available, will have played all of the top 6 twice. Possibly another signing or 2?
If we can still be in touch by then, then who knows what might happen. Looking at our squad now it's certainly not too far away from being capable in the top division, we have pace all over the pitch, some serious potential in the young 'uns, I'll dare to dream 1 more time. ITHICS.

I mean, this was just good business. We pick up his wages, which work out to 1.5M over the course of the season(well worth it to take a chance on promotion) and if we go up, we buy him for 20Mish and we have a player that probably is already Premier League standard.... This also, in my opinion, leaves us some flexibility to add a few more impactful loans.

Just wait, Speakman will get hoovered up by a larger club and those that were flaying him will blame KLD for letting him leave.

It is a question like, Speakman is approaching a high point now. Has to be interest from other clubs
I just think it's funny how fickle many of us are(myself included!). Speakman has done wonderfully in getting us to where we are now - he certainly deserves criticism(not all of his signings have come off + Mick Beale) but he deserves a lot of praise too. Same for KLD, he made some missteps, to be sure, but he has also acquitted himself very well and grown into a competent, if not good, owner.

It's a lot of eggs in one basket like.

If we don't go up we get dismantled.

If we do we got a canny chance of staying there with the young talent we got.

Compared to Donald and Salmon Pants and the last couple of seasons under Short, the KLD/Speakman combo has been superb. Part of me still wishes that we were owned by a combo of Niall Quinn and half a dozen one legged Dublin publicans, however.
