We are back

Enjoying the progress we are making as a club and a playing staff.

Where we are now felt a long way off in recent times, that shouldn’t make us complacent as their is still more potential here and to be fair this lot seem to making a decent go of fulfilling it even if for some it isn’t enough.

I don’t have any huge knowledge about Le Fee but reading a lot of the commentary he sounds like a cracking player, fingers crossed he delivers here we add some more quality and our current players continue to improve.

who knows where this season will take us and I’m sure there will be ups and downs but at least I can go to games knowing if we don’t get promoted it won’t be through a lack of effort from all at the club.

Fingers crossed we are celebrating come the end of the season

Dont get carried away lads, remember this is Sunlun and its a seaburn big dipper ride.
When we get dubbed 'the team of all talents' and 'Bank of England' club again then we are back.
Seen this sleeping giant stir a good few times.
It's exciting times like.
Can’t be a proper football fan and not get carried away. It’s rule #1 man!
There are, from my many years as a football supporter, no alright signings / alright young-un’s.
They are either shite and simply not good enough or f***ing brilliant. Stephan Guivarch was one of mine. We are in the big time now!
Willie MCFaul signing Robertson, Hendrix, Thorn and Beasant another. Shows how little I know!!

If we go up I’m almost certain Mepham will sign for us. Jobe is a different story, I can see an offer coming in that we will not be able to refuse. The lad is a future England player, unfortunately the club is not at the level where we could keep him here.

Why would Jobe leave if we go up ? It’s clear his family have their heads screwed on and his development as a footballer is what matters. If, and it’s still a massive if, we go up then Jobe is pretty much guaranteed 38 premier league games if he stays fit. He won’t get that anywhere else. I don’t think he would want to move on. I think he would stay for a season. Get the experience under his belt. His value will only rise. He then moves on. The only way I see him moving is if we get a massive offer for him or a club near to his brother comes in for him.
It is if we go up. . .. except I reckon he's best off moving anyway in case he/we gets found out in the league above.

Well Folks, along with many I have had the view that the club bring ran in a sustainable manner was the right thing and have been broadly supportive of the club progress.

I have questioned again like many the ambition of the owners, was it a financial project or was it about the glory. At some point we were going to have put a squad of players together that had the quality and relevant experience to compete with clubs with greater resources.

The failure to acquire a credible striker has fed the doubt for 2 years.

This very clever recruitment today is a clear statement of intent. It’s almost a cheat code we get a Premiership quality player to help towards promotion but don’t pay for him until we get there.

Same goes for Isidor and Mepham.

We are still a striker short… If Isidor gets injured we are exposed but hopefully they will resolve that in remainder of window.

I truly believe we are good enough to get auto promoted now. ( esp with another credible striker)

If we retain Mepham, Isidor, Le Fee, Jobe, Neil, etc for next season in the prem should we get promoted I think we might just surprise ourselves

I believe… bring it on
Sorry to piss on your chips being all positive and that……but……..I can see one out of the door. Probs Jobe. Hope not though..

We aren't spending 20 million on le fee if we don't go up nor will we keep jobe or mepham
it is very much now or never ( or it could be a long time at least, look at Leeds and Forest)

we've got ourselves into a great position. All credit to all involved. But many of these players will be off in the summer if not in the top league.

I don’t think Jobe is at the level yet to receive that type of offer. Providing we go up I think he stays. He isnt ready to play week in week out for a top prem side. He will play every week here in the top division & no other prem side will guarantee that. If we don’t go up he will go to Dortmund on a similar if fit he plays contract to that of his brother.

The only way we can keep up with the top three is to have strength in depth, this will allow RLB to rotate players giving them the rest they need plus keep the competition for starting places high...

RLB has echoed what a lot of us on here have said, that we need quality that we can use now and not quantity for the future, and that’s exactly what we’ve got with this guy (judging by his record and the views of people who know him).

I’m not sure why this has happened now as opposed to when previous managers were stating similar requests. Maybe it’s a timing thing, that we feel we’ve got enough young talent in the tank now?

Whilst the club was, in my mind, rightly criticised over decisions over the last couple of years (last year being a cluster f@ck of a season) you’ve got to say they have got it right this season. Pretty much every decision seems to be paying off. Long may it continue.

It's a good year to try and get promoted I imagine.

I honestly think the signing of le fee is a massive signing of intent. On the scale of when boro signed Juninho first time round.

Hope he turns out to be quality.
