We all hate him

Maja being the prime example. I may be wrong here, but he had bagged 15 goals when he went in the January window. An astute businessman would have kept him, however, even a half decent business man would have loaned him back for the rest of the season. I honestly think we would have went up with him up front. We played 10 draws between him leaving and the end of the season, If he'd turned 4 of those into wins we would have gone up
I'm torn on the Maja thing, there's a chance he sticks around, completely jacks it in as he's signed a pre-contract agreement abroad, and we get nowt anyway. Is that a risk worth taking? At the time I'd say no. In hindsight given we replaced him with Grigg, absolutely it's a risk worth taking.

That's not to defend them like, we should never have been in that position in the first place.

I am going to get pelters but I never hated Salmon Pants. He was arrogant, he got a lot wrong but I always felt we got under his skin. Could be wishful thinking on my part

Either way, that's a good podcast

Bellend that he is...
  1. he took us away from a Yank that would have seen us drop to Div 4 without intervention
  2. got people keen again (I struggled to get tickets for the Boxing Day Bradford game)
  3. handed us off to our saviour.
No hate left in me for Mr Salmon.

I only ever spoke to Methven after he'd fallen out with Donald over not sacking Ross after the playoff final, but he was scathing about the way the Maja situation was handled, implying that was all down to Donald. Methven thought they should have got a senior Nigerian ex-player to talk to him and persuade him that staying would be better in the long run. At the end of the day, Methven was all marketing, and had little or no say in what Donald was doing.

We got nowt for Maja anyway in reality as the money we did get went back to Boredeaux as an installment we owed for Khazri a couple of seasons earlier.

We sold maja for 2.5m and bought grigg for 4m
Astute businessman???
😄😄😄😄😄
The loss of Maja meant we only had 1 decent forward, Macgeady
Appalling business
Not to mention the 10m payday loan they took with Dell
Absolute pair of whoppers
I didn't say he was an astute business man. I said an astute businessman would have kept him. I know it's it's Sunday morning but try and keep up.

Hi Charlie

We could have sold him and loaned him back for the remainder. If my memory serves, i'm sure Donald mentioned doing this on one of those documentaries.
In fairness i think Maja would have worked his socks off(well, in his own little version of sock-working off)

He’s a charlatan and deserves zero credit. Him and Stuart Donald are the worst thing that ever happened to the club.

I can’t believe so many still defend him now.
