Certainly now that the lad has publicly asked for it not to be sung, it shouldn't be. As others have said there are plenty of alternative lyrics that fit perfectly well. I'd also add that any song which could be perceived as racist should probably be avoided when it's primarily coming from the same place as (a minority of) people who boo taking the knee, it's not a good look

If they sang about a Dutch player and it had lyrics which mentioned the racial stereotype of them being the tallest race in the world would that be acceptable?
I can guarantee that some singing the song will be racist pricks though, and for that reason they should stop.
