It’s not racist is it though it’s no different to a person making daft joke about Not being able to understand a north east accent, no malice behind it just daft banter from stereotypes, it’s just all part of cancel culture and people desperate to be offended at something, just my take on it

Yes, but those you mention are directed at a group of people or area. This is directed at him and about him. He and the club have asked you to stop, you should respect his wishes. That should be enough.

Of course it's racist. It wouldn't be sang about a white player (so it is based purely on race). Only a complete numpty can't recognise it. And it's from his own supporters. Who are still singing it when the player has asked for it to stop.

The other examples you give aren't based on race, so not racist. However, they are sang by one set of fans at others, to mock and abuse. These fuckwits are abusing their own player.

Heard it sang at first, then the next time is only a few trying to sing the dick bit so I think the message has sank in or at least will thankfully. There was more just singing amad diallooooo over the top of it. Sooner it stops the better, it’s a pretty shit song anyway then the racial element on top.

It’s getting a bit shit mind calling everyone in the south stand racist etc, I’m in there and I know plenty good people in the stand as others will do. Branding everyone racist due to a minority of kids is pretty poor.

Genuinely baffles me how people cannot see it as racist.

Is it sung about Pritchard? If not why not?

It’s been sung about numerous players, I wonder what they all had in common. I’ll give those posters a clue it wasn’t that they were all footballers.

Whilst I agree with you in the main, it wasn’t a “minority of kids” I’m in the east stand and it was loud and clear.

Like I say I’m sure there are loads of decent people in the south stand, it’s wrong to say it was “just a few kids”. There have been racist instances before at the club with fans banned etc and the massive majority of them were in the south stand.

There is an element of our support that sit in that stand that a lot of us don’t agree with.

There was me and one other (my mate who stands beside me) attempting to sing over the top of this hideous chant on Saturday but alas we had no chance really.

If everyone on this thread was as raging about it at the stadium as they are on this thread then it wouldn't be heard again...

I think the vast majority are clearly against it. Hence why very few were joining in and it quickly died out.

The stewards were too preoccupied with rejigging the seating plan like a primary school to be arsed about racist chanting on Saturday. Priorities.
