We’ll sing what we want

The fact that he did a video asking fans to change it, whether it was him or the club that decided to do it, should be enough, I don't care what your opinion is, just don't sing it, it's childish at best and racist at worst to ignore the request regardless of what your opinion is.

Well tbf it would be quite the compliment if it was the lasses singing it

Said this before. Mams fella is black. They went to a party at some workingmens club. The pissed up bday girl was up on the mic giving her speech. She then asked if my mams fella was available for the night (cue the laughs). Only black bloke there so was obvious what she was getting at. He didnt appreciate it. The bloody snowflake.

It's a shit song and no one should be singing those words.

But the message was put out an hour before kick off. I think it's fair to assume most wouldn't have even seen it by that point. I hadn't and I'm never really off social media.

Think the whole "we'll sing what we want" malarkey suggests the message spread quite quickly in all fairness

Most of the NE.is still resoundingly monocultural. At least part of the problem is lack of exposure to minorities outside curry houses or takeaways. Doesn't excuse it mind.

No wonder we are seen as backwards and stuck in a time warp. Education is sadly lacking in a good number.

Should get a few nicked for singing it. Bet their arses would drop then.

It was shite to start with, and now the lads said don’t sing it. Wether you you think it’s racist or not, that’s good enough to stop. It’s not that hard to come up with a new one.

Why do you think the player himself has put a video out asking for it to be stopped? Because it’s shit? We’ve had plenty of shit songs, never a video asking them to be stopped.
Because, perhaps, he was told to by authorities i.e. kick it out, safc. A bit like Lukaku was at Man Utd, who had previously laughed about the song. Why hasn’t Diallo expressed his displeasure before now? He obviously knew the words and it’s been sang for ages.

Just for the record, the song is good, but the lyrics are cringeworthy IMO. Are the lyrics racist? Probably 50/50 in the world we live in today.

Any evidence of Lukaku laughing about it?

As people were saying at the time, he didnt know the words. Obviously.

50/50. Haha. Would they sing it about a white player? Have they seen this lads nob?

I’ll see if I can find the video, which I’ve seen. I suspect however that it’s long gone. The lad who works next to me is a Man U nut who’s glued to their media all day, it was him who showed me it a few year ago. He asks about Diallo non-stop and when I said about the chant after Huddersfield away he said about Lukaku again.

Its been sang to Diallo for ages now, he’s been dancing to it. Do you honestly think he wouldn’t have once asked about the words to a song about himself?

Even if Diallo hadn't asked for it not to be sung, I'm pretty sure Simms and Alese can't be too impressed with the stereotyping either.
