Was cheaper for me until the meter broke and they direct debited me 10 grand. No control just 10k. Bang. I had to call them and explain that would be the same amount of a royal navy ship. In a quarter. In a 3 bed flat.

I've got one as I get a discount for health reasons and had to have a meter put in to claim that.

Depends how many people in house . If you go on Northumbrian Waters website you can do calculator. You can also try for two years and go back to unmetered . But if you have a leak they will make you fix it before giving an allowance (and only one allowance).

Not always. Just depends what the rateable value was (they still use that even thought it was abolished in 1990). It’s not a good idea for many people.

If you have more bedrooms than occupants get a meter is the rule of thumb. I pay six monthly both have been less than a hundred recently
