How can Onions not play? The Lions game finished the same day as our last 4 day game, it's not like he needs extra time to recover. Or is it in case he gets brought into the England squad?

It didn't, Lions game only finished yesterday. Probably sensible anyway given the length of time he's had off.

Was it not you moaning he was playing for the Lions ;)

Aye it was  Purely for selfish reasons of wanting him to play as much for Durham as possible.

I would like to see Claydon make the final 11 at the expense of Braithwaite.

Could be a close game but with our batters being in such good form I'd like to think we can at least get a draw down there. Won't be too bad as long as Lancs don't win their away game at Hampshire.

ticking along. 115 /2

200 up

204/3

smith on 80
benks on 31

still ticking along nicely... if we can get to 350 for 5/6 by end of play it will be a reasonable day

Smith's 100 makes it 7 different centurians in 6 and a bit games, nine players averaging 40+, and five over 50.

Who said our batting was weak? :-D
