It might help if you say where you live. The North East is a big place.

Have you tried contacting local clubs. I would be surprised if there not all looking for players to improve their team at that age.

I would look for a club with a third team mate (Murton?), I bet they'd love to have him. Peterleeyakker on here is probably a good bloke to ask about clubs in the area.
 
More than welcome to come and train with houghton and see what happens however it would be Saturday cricket
