In the North Tyneside/Newcastle area we are currently running a 'Last Man Stands' cricket league. It's T20 8 a side cricket basically. Coloured clothing, all equipment is provided (apart from a box!), pitch hire, umprires fees are included in the price. It's basically cricket, for busy people.

Would anybody on here fancy entering a team? Or entering as an individual. Next summer we'll be setting another league up in Sunderland. Playing the games on a new pitch in the Boldon area.

How's this work like ?

When does your season start and where are your games in Newcastle?

Seasons been going since June in Newcastle. Been playing at Tynemouth but have just moved to Centurion Park at Wallsend who have just installed a new pitch.

The venue in Sunderland is near Boldon but cannot remember the name !

Would love to get involved but have never held a bat in my life. Probably too old at 35

exactly the type of person who should get involved! It's dead informal and a right good laugh, whole games over within 2 hours.

Sounds canny.

Was thinking that we could do with a cricket version of what Supersesh does with footy just something informal.
