Don’t agree, he’s behind him, and woujd have been a good 2-3 yards behind him when he was lining up for the chip. Add to that the noise in the stadium and his own focus on what he is gonna do. Personally I thought he didn’t do a lot wrong. The keeper made a good save. Could he have got his head up, seen Talbi making rapid ground, slowed it down and fed it to him for an easy strike into an empty net. Quite possibly but it’s all so easy in hindsight.
I think though, if it falls to Wilson he buries it. And if it falls to Brobbey he slows it down and feeds Talbi. All different players. Everything is a piece of piss in hindsight.
At the time I thought the best option was to round him either way as he had pace and the keeper was flat footed. Chances are if he didn’t get round him he would have been felled for a pen.
