Villa forum

No complacency here. When I look at their side on paper they have some very good players.
They have a top 7 squad IMO.
I’ll take a point now.
Just read that link. bloody hell … can’t believe they don’t think they’ll win. 😳
Bloody hope they’re right. They have a shit load of quality. It’s only a matter of time for them

6th last season ( and would have been 5th if not for a dreadful decision ), a draw would be a great result for a newly promoted club.

"We also supposedly have an elite manager but that is looking more and more disputed by the week as he’s not getting a tune out of any of these players.

If we don’t win this game I’ll certainly be pushing for a managerial change, we shouldn’t be doing as badly as this."

Just sums up modern football fans and their attitude towards managers/head coaches.

I'm shocked there's even a discussion of Emery losing his job.

Indeed, he's done a cracking job

A sense of entitlement amongst the fan base perhaps

Crazy that FFS.... there were in the champions league last season !

Villa are a top side having a run of bad form. Hopefully we can take advantage of that.

The way i see it, our next 3 games are very tough. If we can get even 1 win from them ill be delighted. If we can get that win against Villa then it takes a bit of pressure off the next 2.

Alternatively last season they may have just been a bad side that had a run of top form.

Cannot see anything but a comfortable away win. Their squad is packed full of quality, only a matter of time before it clicks for them anarl.

Football has a way of biting you on the arse for being a bit chirpy - see Plymouth at home last season.

I’ll be putting an insurance bet on an away win, snap your hand off for a point and I can’t even fathom a win against them tbh so won’t go down that road.

Ha’way the lads.

Surely no Sunderland fan thinks this will be easy....Christ! I'd take a point now. Low scoring 0-0 or 1-1

If Leeds are struggling as much as their fans think they will be we could be favourites against them come December too.
I thought that but then remembered we’re losing at least 5 players to AFCON.

Would gladly take a point if it’s on offer right now.

Only 4 teams have failed to score in their first 4 league games since the premier league started in 1992.

All of them scored in their 5th game 😐

That's my take on it.

"Typical Sunderland" of the past would be a nailed on 3 points for a team who were either misfiring and not scoring or a striker going through a lean spell.

Give us a point now, I'm not greedy.
