Never watched it. But i am currently reading a book by the same author, set in Shetland, and so far it's not bad.
Much prefer Geordie Heat.

The telly series is canny. I read the first four Shetland novels but didn't keep up once they were on tv.

My son's mate, who we've known since he was a toddler, does video editing work on Vera. He knows the actors, and he gets invited to the parties, etc.
I think it's great, he even has an entry on IMDB. He's less enthusiastic about it. The money is good but it's seasonal, and he has to rent a property because of problems getting a mortgage.
I'd be buzzing just being involved in something like that, but I suppose like everything the novelty wears off.
