Virgin holidays, direct from manchester. Can only get a rough figure as it's 18 month away but doing a holiday savings club rather than everyone saying aye then pulling out cos they are skint, so saying £100 each a month from
Now til then should cover holiday and a fair chunk of spending money.

Did 4 in Ibiza for my stag 9 year ago and I was ready for marsden cliffs when I got back.

Love the place. Although bear in mind no matter how much you save you'll turn up and realise it's not enough  Remember playing blackjack where even on them tables it was $50 minimum by in. Went through couple 100 dollars in about 15 minutes. Could have wept tbh

Edit: In terms of places to stay, I definitely recommend Wynn. Perfect location, Superb facilities and in my opinion, far far nicer than the older hotels. Avoid Luxor and places that end of the strip, bit out the way

I budgeted 1000 a day last time I was there and fortunately won quite a bit. You could do Vegas on a fraction of that or 100000 a day and still find some things out of reach.

Its just to easy there to gamble until you've nothing left even with winnings 'Gerrin I've won, I'll hoy it all on my next bet' .... 'Shit! I've lost it all'

I would stay around the Caesers Palace. Very central for a load of the big hotels/casinos. If you are on a budget Planet Hollywood or the Flamingo are great location-wise too.

Make sure you have at least 1 night down town. Passed me by the first time I went as was in a daze the full 5 days, but every time I've been since then I've had great nights down there. Good old fashioned casinos where you dont have to play $15 minimum a hand of blackjack, and some great bars at the bottom end of it.

Good point marra.
We went there in October, and stayed at the Bellagio.
The room tax for a week worked out to around $240 - one big f***ing rip-off. And you cannot get out of it. Cheaper hotels will be less. But the Bellagio is one big rip-off - as is anything on the strip.
For instance a bottle of Bud will knock you back $8 a pop on the strip, and a draught beer will be $10 (not even a 20 fluid ounce pint by the way:evil:).

Tickets for the shows are best bought from the designated booths and shops - good discount prices!! We got to see Penn & Teller for $60 per person, which was half price.

Oh, a general comment about Vegas - it's like Marmite - either you love it or hate it.

Another big rip-off if you want the helicopter ride out there to the Grand Canyon.

Expect to pay $350 per person.
It's a one in a lifetime thing

@ontap lives there for 3 months of the year, I shit you not, he is the man to ask

Organising a lads trip to vegas for 2018, anyone off here been recently? Any recommendations?

Probably about 8 of us going. Would it be cheaper to get a suite with everyone in or 4 rooms of 2?

we going in 3 weeks time, wednesday to the sunday, 6 of us, cost £550 from NCL (change at LHR) stopping at the flamingo [room each not sharing too] its nowt flash, its just been done out again and its very central to everything.

got it in the BA Sale last july.

Anybody with any convictions?

Or is that a stupid question :lol:

Is Vegas really that good for a lads holiday? I know the concept sounds great but strange and stupid as it sounds when I was there it didn't seem the place where you'd just go out and get mortal. Is it not just American hype. Surely every town in Britain is a Sin City at weekends nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to go there with the lads and a wad full of cash but perhaps it was because I was with the wife on my only visit like so was having a different experience.

Sapphires Gentleman's Club.

doesn't matter at all that, just lie on your esta they cant/haven't found out.

Agree with all this. It feels like controlled fun in my experience.

Love the place me. Another recommendation for the MGM. Seems to be the cheaper option for the better hotels. Freemont street is a good laugh anarl.

Doesn't cause an issue now. Apparently they can't check.

It's a complete myth. They can if they want to. Minor crimes I wouldn't bother mentioning especially if you were under 18 at the time.

Taken from the official websites..............

Some may consider lying on their application, thinking: “How will they find out?”

The United States does not have access to the Police National Computer (see the FOI response below). The security services do share information about high-profile crimes, serious offences or if someone is a security risk.

However, the United States authorities are able to seek details of any criminal convictions held on the Police National Computer on an individual request basis through Interpol channels.

If you do attempt to travel to the US having lied on your ESTA about your criminal convictions and are found out, you are potentially committing a criminal offence under US law.
