30 seconds?! Bloody hell! If it takes that long the game is dead. Instant or nowt.
You dont get instant decisions now.

The ball is in play for approx 60 mins in a game, so there 30 mins standing around doing nowt

Yes you do. The 30 mins waiting to take freekicks, goalkicks, throw ins, are after the instant decision has been made.

Adding extra waiting time for slow mo replays will kill the game. You'll never get home.

Going around in circles

There are 60 mins of actual in play action and thirty minutes fannying around doing nowt, but you are worried about a decision that can be made within thirty seconds

This is my last word on the matter, so I’m not replying anymore. I’ve given clear answers to every query, without anyone showing any respect to my opinion whatsoever

94 to 98 % improvement on decisions

100% correct over the line decisions

That is not chaos, that is progress and to be welcomed

Pure chaos mate ;)

The premier League is a multi billion pound competition of football

Football has very basic rules

Salah today scored a clear offside goal that everyone who was watching on TV knew about almost instantly yet Liverpool were awarded the goal and Bournemouth were then 1-0 down

How does that make any rational sense?

Literally the fourth official standing at the side of the pitch will have had Howe and the other Bournemouth coaches shouting at him that it was offside and the video replays showed it yet he can't do anything as they aren't allowed currently to have the video help. 1 minute after the goal everyone in the stadium can know the goal broke the rules of the game being played and shouldn't stand yet the goal isn't rescinded. Yet this is a multi billion pound business that is considered a professional sport.

3 points can separate multiple league positions at the end of a season and each league position is worth something like 1.2~ million pounds.

If the rules aren't important and don't need to actually be followed then why have them?

Daft thing is they don't use the fourth official though

They have a team of VAR assistants stuck away in a hotel room that the ref communicates with

Why it takes so long don't kna why they can't have a screen at the side of the pitch & as you say practically review the incident straight away

Of course it's about people that go, they're the lifeblood of the entire game.

I get your point but anything that effects the enjoyment of actually being at the match is a massive no for me.

Never usually agree with FIFA but they were totally in the right when they said the beauty of football is having the World Cup final refereed just the same as a Sunday League game.

No what I meant is they not doing for the armchair fans or the fans that go, they just doing to get the right decisions to get fair and more correct decisions.

Of course the people that go are the lifeblood of the game

Can be technically correct, in slow motion, "yeh he did touch his shirt", and still cause chaos and controversy while they decide. Total joke what we've seen so far. Not football

Was ridiculous. Players going down looking for decisions from Var, and bullying the ref constantly. Should be the death of VAR

Rugby works in phases.
You are totally ignoring what actually happened , it immediately reduced the amount of dives , players knew incidents would be reviewed and their cheating exposed.

Loads more diving as players knew any normal slight contact could be seen.

You seem completely unable to accept other people's opinions on the matter.

Personally, I think it should be goal line and nothing else. The Salah offside was so marginal that it is hardly worth complaint about narl.

30 seconds wait is a ridiculous amount of time as is the ref running to the side of the pitch to look at a little tv screen.

I've no problem with people wanting VAR and I wouldn't deny there are lots of potential positives with it. In fact, if it could be implemented without disrupting the flow of the game or spoiling it for the fans who are at the game then great.

However, I've never seen anyone completely fail to grasp the points of others like @stephen cartwright has on this matter. It's a shame because i like him ;)

Got the be a wind up this. Var was a huge success in WC and is here to stay , will be in use next season on the P L , no point in trying to argue that the old way is / was better cos it’s had its day.

France Vs Australia - gave a penalty when not clear and Australia's goal?
England Vs Tunisia - not used for Kane penalties
Nigeria Vs Croatia - Ighalo not flagged offside - could have led to a goal
Argentina Vs Iceland - missed penalty decisions
Serbia Vs Switzerland
Germany Vs Sweden - Sweden penalty
Portugal Vs Iran - a farce throughout the match
France Vs Argentina - Griezmann penalty

Aye huge success

Which part of that post could have even been a wind up anyway?
