VAR has ruined top level football.

You weren’t robbed. The decision was correct, it wasn’t 50/50 it was offside.
That said, I’m all for sacking VAR off completely and just have goal line technology. It’s sucking the game dry when you can’t celebrate a goal in injury time of a cup semi until VAR has checked. Just go back to what we had and accept that mistakes will be made by refs but some spontaneity will be back for the supporters.

It was not offside, looks at the line.

"I expect the club to now back up Nottingham Forest and make a big deal about this as that was blatant fraud and has to be taken through the courts unless we are awarded the win. We should sue for the lost revenue of the final.

I had Man utd fans in that end who texted me about 20 mins ago to say that Wright was well onside and the lines didnt correlate at all to where he was when the ball was released. They said they were dead level.

This i an opportunity for all EFL clubs and smaller PL clubs to join forces as that was quite clearly bollocks."

From the Coventry forum.

I'm talking about VAR
Why should VAR make any difference?
Coventry fans celebrated like mad when they thought that they had scored. It was then disallowed for offside (correctly).
In the past I have celebrated like mad when I thought we had scored a late winner, only to have the linesman raise his flag.

Same thing. Great celebration….ultimate disappointment.

So, no, you haven't experienced it?

I hope to never see a United Fan complain about VAR again after that decision.

Thing I'll say about it is everyone complains about it until they get a decision in their favour, then it's "Well y'know it's one of those things, but they got it right"

I remember years ago watching England in the pub during a World Cup game when England scored . The pub just went up and the celebrations went on for ages . It must have been about 5 minutes later that we realised that the goal had been disallowed. 😂

If it wasn’t a minow against a giant then there would have been no outrage and hot air over a correct decision.

Strange take. I don't like VAR and would see it scrapped.... but VAR came up with the correct decision so you are saying United fans shouldn't complain if VAR makes an incorrect decision which goes against them?
All supporters have a right to complain if VAR makes a wrong decision that goes against them, if the decision is the correct call though like yesterday then tough shit and move on.

I hate VAR for what it's done for the game but with just a few exceptions nearly every decision VAR makes is ultimately the correct one with regard to the rules of the game.

The genie is out the bottle now , there is no going back . Most of us wanted more tech in the game and those who say they didn't probably have selective memories.
Unfortunately we are stuck with it and have to remember next time we have some great ideas that if it isn't broken , don't fix it .

That disappointment is usually straight away, not standing around with your thumb up your arse waiting to find out your striker's toenail is offside
