USA Earn ODI Status

Back in the 1900s they were nearly of test match standard but couldn't join the ICC as it was the Imperial Cricket Conference.
I believe the USA v Canada was the oldest international fixture in any sport. The civil war killed off the game in the States in favour of baseball.

If they really tried. I bet the yanks could have a topper team.

Would love them and the Chinese proper get into cricket.
I thought they were. There was an article in Wisden about them a few years ago.

There’s no other sport that tries to restrict growth

Fifa done a lot of corrupt things but done a brilliant job of expanding the game
Play warm-up tour games against the nearest Associate team to where you are touring and do the same with A sides. e.g. England in Australia would have a couple of games v PNG, in South Africa v Namibia etc. Those games would mean a lot to the opposition and help grow the game worldwide.
