Doubt this will happen. Wouldn't tempt fate..

One thing though - the Mags 'playing well' tonight.
People say they played well just because they actually bothered to attack. They didn't defend well. The midfield didn't play well. Darlow didn't play well. SaintMaximouse played better than McGuire and the little weird lad ran around a lot but that's about it!

It will be 6 points after next weekend. Palace will beat Fulham. Burnley lose away at Spurs.
WBA are at home to Brighton. That is a must win for WBA. If they do then Brighton are in the mix as well.
We wont go down. It will however, as i have said for a while now, be very tight.

This.

Every time Newcastle get relegated Ashley makes the investment to keep the squad together and get the players needed to come back up.

It works every time and they romp the league. As a side freshly promoted from League one they would kill us. So whilst it's funny to see them slump under Bruce I'm wary of that outcome.

Been saying that til I'm blue in the face. We are in no fit state to be facing them next season.
I wouldn't even bank on Wilson leaving as I could see him thinking "I'll give it a season playing Infront of 50000 every other week" and lapping up the adoration as he bangs in 25/30 to become another hero no.9.

Palace won't beat Fulham. They are on the slide. After losing at Brighton tonight, their confidence will be ebbing away. Fulham are playing them at the right time.
Fwiw, I don't think you will go down. Mark Hughes will do just enough to save you.

I've taken a lot of heart from the last few matches. We look as though we're getting some rhythm. We already lose very few games. Turn some of those draws into wins and we are right up there.

Don't think the other teams are particularly great. Hull, Doncaster and Portsmouth are dropping points all over.

yeah that’s true more promising

it’s worth pointing out that the 3 games before that we drew 2 n lost 1 and were v poor

not trying to be negative just need convincing more that we’ve turned a corner

we don’t lose many games youre right, it’s why I don’t like the players effort being questioned they absolutely try

If they play like they have played the last few games against shitter teams they will pick up enough points to stay up. But if nothing changes with owner/manager it’s a matter of time before they’re down again like. They remind me of us - just a nothing team stinking the division out basically

If we went up and the mags went down it would be shite, they'd be chasing promotion and our goal would have to be solidifying our place in the Championship.

Too many points left to say where Sunderland will finish. Newcastle's remaining fixtures are a lot of teams in the bottom half and on the beach mid table. Doubt Newcastle will be in the Championship.

Agreed you won’t go down, therefore Steve has done his job.

Contract extension needed.

Not sure Hughes would be that bad to be honest, it won't be him though.

Don't see Fulham winning at Palace, perhaps yet another draw. 5/4 is crazy odds, just like their odds to beat Burnley.

I think Palace will get a point tonight.
