Is it an induced coma? People are sometimes kept comatose to aid recovery. Here’s hoping he makes a full recovery.
Mate of mine had a serious head injury and was in a coma for about 3 months. Medics initially didn’t think he’d survive, then said he’d be severely disabled and he basically just got up and was more or less fine when he came round. Coordination took a few months and he had nasty migraines for a few years but he’s in his 50’s and doing okay. ( happened when he was 17).

Don't know the lad personally but seen a fair bit of him on social media pics etc. Massive Feyenord fan and absolutely loves Sunderland too. Praying he pulls through.

Makes me appreciate how lucky i was when I had mine a few years back. It will be a long road back for him, but he's young to be having a stroke, and the younger you are, the better your chances. Hope it goes well for him.

Thinking of Roger! In a SAFC fans WhatsApp group along with the OP and Roger is certainly a great character.

Met him for the first time at Wembley last May. He was a few rows in front. Tommy Watson winner went in, he had his shirt off swinging it around his head and hugging every fan around him.

Fingers crossed he comes through this.
