We have signed a Scottish player for 1 month at the start of the season, with the view to a longer deal after Scotland have played a few international.s

I forget his name, Mcleod or something, got him due to Colly coaching him.

Exciting batter who bowls a bit I think, sorry if SEB.

like the sound of this, collingwood's role paying dividends for us perhaps. has been on the book sof warwickshire before, 25 year old opening bat.

15 first class wickets at an average of 22 seems canny, needs to up his batting average mind. still, all rounder figures, if only just. an opening bat to boot, he could come in very handy.

Aye bowling figures may sound good but sadly he is a chucker, got banned when he was at Warwickshire, they released him when they could not do anything to change his action.[DOUBLEPOST=1390777983][/DOUBLEPOST]
you heard it first here callum thorpe is getting a one year contract.
That would not suprise me very short of expeirenced seamers in the squad.

Colly might not be here, hasn't been decided yet apparently.

Would be a huge blow
Where might he be going???? He's under contract until the end of this summer.

And the guy questioning MacLeod's bowling, he's hit 2 100's for Scotland in this qualifying tournament including 175, if he can bring anything like that to Durham I couldn't give a toss about his bowling.

Coaching role, either with Scotland or another nation (I was pissed and can't remember exactly who was mentioned).

The Scotland role he can do on a part time basis. I've also heard the England job mentioned but only on message boards.

I'd have thought he'd want to see out his Durham with a view to a role here then England. Absolutely can't see him going to another county and only a top nation would interest him on a permanent basis I'd have thought. Didn't Dav Whatmore just leave Pakistan, they got anyone lined up?

would be gutting if we missed out on benks because colly was with us only for him to leave and we end up with neither... with all due respect to jon lewis like

I know i've said this before but having moved the likes of Leech Harmison, Will Smith, Blackwell, Liam Drunkett, Claydon, Thorp on in recent times- and STILL finding ourselves unable to afford an overseas player.... Is somewhat startling.

Our finances must have been in an absolutely shameful state & whoever was responsible for that should have paid the price of their negligence or been made to explain themselves publicly.
Leech ? he's still the chairman

You'll have noticed Colly is doing well with Scotland already

Prolly been noticed elsewhere too
