That if a foreigner admitted guilt for violent disorder after throwing 4 bins and a chair at police and had an offensive weapon (and with a history of violence) they'd just get let off.

You’ve only got to watch the telly to see most of the people police arrest say they are addicts, suicidal, injured, on drugs / drunk, claustrophobic, have mental health problems or anything else to not get arrested. Guess they just stop taking on face value what people say when they turn up to stuff in this case it’s led to someone not getting treated and what’s happened.

Doubt it’s anything to do with race at all, just too used to dealing with messed up people who lie about everything.

You've nailed it. I said this on another thread. EVERYONE lies to police. About exactly what you say. It's very easy for cops to become cynical, jaded, tired, fatigued, lazy, arrogant and everything in between.

Problems is when people tell you stuff, you still have to act no matter how many times the same person tells you the same thing, every time you seen them.

Someone says they're suicidal and going to kill themselves for the 15th time that week, you still talk to them, still spend time with them, still call the mental health teams and do what you can to ensure they're okay, even if they are and they're having you on. It's tiring, but if you stop then stuff like this incident happens and you can't go back.
