The University of Sunderland and Sunderland AFC Women have partnered to create a winning team for all. This partnership provides us with the unique opportunity for two of Sunderland's most iconic institutions to work together to support our close-knit community and promote our ever-changing city. Like the university, the football club is central to the fabric of Sunderland. We are both passionate about sport, education, and opportunity for all. We believe that everyone should have the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their gender or background. And most importantly, we’re wanting to affect change together. Through this partnership, we are committed to reinforce the message that sport is for all, while promoting the university and city-wide developments being made to make Sunderland an even better place to live, work, study and play.
