Is he actually any good?

Note I said good, not fast
I think he is decent as he is...but I think its the fact that his raw pace could be honed going forward which made him a good prospect. I think that thought is in the context of the dearth of genuine pacemen at present. We may never know, now.

forgot the name offhand but there is a lad at surrey who appears tohave real pace.

I do not get the obsession with him, he has no record of taking wickets or even bowling well. It is all purely based on that 1 game England played against Esssex

Plunkett and Stokes can both bowl 88mph plus

we really need him in ahead of woakes or jordan

woosh surely

I'm not sure there's an obsession with him. The point is that in this case he may never be able to show how good he could be, due to this persistent spinal injury.

Just even top journalist always drop his name on, he doesn't deserved to be discussed in england circles, he has problems even hitting the wicket.

I'm not sure he's been genuinely touted for England...I think there's a recognition that he would be miles away from that. As I said, academic now probably.

Just as a note, though, there are players who don't deserve to be discussed in England circles, actually turning out for them.

, possibly, that feels maybe a tad harsh though.
