Two Divisions in the Championship

10 teams in Division One.
8 (including Durham) in Division Two.
14 games a side.

Nottinghamshire also in Division Two and I imagine they’ll feel very hard done to on the basis of this seasons results.

Durham have spent two years building a good side and finished in the top 10 teams this last year but are having to play division 2? Typical ecb, f***ing over Durham as per.

Could be worse, could be Notts
 
Good, although I struggle with their rationale on rankings. Why not use this year's? Has anyone seen an explanation?

And probably the same at the other 10 counties. But as I have said before the importance of the traditional county member is nowhere near as important as it was before the arrival of T20.

Bostock, North and Franklin spoke in favour of the conference. Bostock especially and it became quite heated with Emmerson which was a tad funny

May have misread the post sorry. Thought it said only 5 counties were for the two divisions.
I'm confused now as that's definitely what it says. Why are they going back to the divisions if most voted against?

s because the conference was only for one year so the status quo is two divisions and it requires 70% or something of the vote to change. And therein lies the answer to my question of why Durham are in Division Two next year - because there's were they were before the championship format was suspended and now it's reinstated that's where they would have been last year if Covid hadn't come along

Any change to the structure of county cricket has to be voted on by the counties and you need a 2 thirds majority to make it happen.
