Chicken is only a small turkey.Haven't had Turkey since my mother was alive. She was pretty staunch and a General in the kitchen so we had no say in it.
Usually go for beef or lamb but this year going for a few chickens due to dietary requirements of the guests.
Not exactly. Prefer chicken.Chicken is only a small turkey.
I was disappointed by goose. Found it a bit gamey for my tastes.Last time I did Xmas dinner, we had Goose. It was lovely, much much better than Turkey. But going out for dinner this year, so I might have lamb.
Not a huge turkey fan tbh, always seems dry.
Is this new in thing then? To dislike turkey at Christmas?
Bacon on top butter under the skin, one of them bronze turkeys, f***ing lush.If you do Turkey I think you have to do Bacon and a really moist homemade stuffing. Otherwise it is a chore.
We decided to just dispense with the Turkey and have meat we liked.
At one time it was boar.My mother was a brilliant cook and spent all night cooking the turkey so it was as good as it could be.
None of us had that skill set or desire.
Turkey is an American abomination anyway... Goose is the traditional Christmas meat.
