Turkey? Anything but Turkey?

Haven't had Turkey since my mother was alive. She was pretty staunch and a General in the kitchen so we had no say in it.

Usually go for beef or lamb but this year going for a few chickens due to dietary requirements of the guests.

If you do Turkey I think you have to do Bacon and a really moist homemade stuffing. Otherwise it is a chore.

We decided to just dispense with the Turkey and have meat we liked.

Last time I did Xmas dinner, we had Goose. It was lovely, much much better than Turkey. But going out for dinner this year, so I might have lamb.

Not a huge turkey fan tbh, always seems dry.

I was disappointed by goose. Found it a bit gamey for my tastes.
