Tube Station Car Parks

Said previously but Cockfosters is decent if you are not in a rush to get away and car park is huge

Unless you want to drink in C. London first, have family that side of London or something else which makes it essential, its miles away by tube and requires a change in central London. On the other hand any station on the Metropolitan line from Uxbridge or Watford, the Jubilee line from Stanmore inwards, the Overground from Watford, the Chiltern Line anywhere from High Wycombe eastwards (but check the timetable first), gets you there with the least fuss.

Someone else has said Hatton Cross which is the other end of the Piccadilly line and equally distant - its on the edge of Heathrow airport!

London is a bloody big place!

I've still booked. I'd rather know I'm gaurenteed a place. 8 quid is nowt for a bit piece of mind.

8 quid..... I can feel a coronary coming on

Is there any street parking in London for free? I parked for nothing near Tesco Express yesterday...handy for Polska to buy his post match alcohol supplies

I did say not in a rush or did you miss that bit?

It cost me 4 quid to get a bus from the town centre yesterday. I'm taking it you managed to eventually find Polska? Meeting him next to a 'tree' might have been a slightly vague instruction mind.

Yes..I thought there was a recycling centre in the back of the car yesterday...bottles and cans galore and @TAFKAHM didn't have any

No I didn't miss it. Its just a poor option. By the time you park, walk into the station, and wait for the train to go, it will be well over an hour to Wembley from Cockfosters. Most people will have other things on their mind like beer and unlike national rail there's no buffet bar and no drinking allowed.

Edgware has a large car park which is free on Sundays.

Its then just one bus (79, 186, 340) to Canons Park or 288 to Queensbury or 142 to Stanmore then the tube to Wembley Park

Ideal if you’re going to Arsenal or white hart lane but not Wembley

When we went to play off final there was a school local to Stanmore, 5 min walk, doing parking

All depends where
Your hotel is mate, not everyone is leaving straight after the whistle heading home.
Why pay a fortune at Stanmore et al instead of £4 at Cockfosters. Yer never thought of that did you

Didn’t we, well I never, where we’re parking will cost us less than £4 and less on the tube than if we parked at cookfosters

If you're planning on heading back up to the North East after the final, The Metropolitan line is your best bet. I'd go for Rickmansworth or Chorleywood (both five minutes from the motorway and about 20-25 minutes to Wembley). After the game the trains out of London are much quieter than the trains back into London.
