Trouble again

I hadn’t seen much bother home or away for a while until the play off semi final second leg, that all got a bit unnecessary, a youngun stuck one on my mates dad, who’s 67, the youngun rightly got a hiding.

It was good natured up here with them as far as I was aware.

Probably the worst thing I've seen at football happened before a play-off semi in Sheffield.
I'd parked about half a mile away from Bramall Lane and 4 of us were walking, minding our own when what seemed lime hundreds piled out of the Cricketers. A bloke, his missus and their little lad - about 4 years old, holding both their hands were walking along. The little lad had a SAFC too on and one of the Sheffield United "lads" chinned the fatha and stuck him on his arse. The little lad and woman were crying their eyes out. Awful.

I was there as well. About five of us went to walk from the Bell to Windmills, as we got over the road, about 50 lads ran out ,launching bottles at us. We hastily retreated around the back of the bell, walked back around ,and other lads out of the bar were battling the mags back up the street, outside of sainsburys.Mustve went on for a good ten minutes, no police there at all.Mags got chased up the street and back on the metro in the end. Once they chucked their bottles, they were soft as sh#te.
This is exactly what happened, I witnessed the lot after being put on my arse via a car bonnet (I’d l landed a couple by this point) and was then dragged into Safeway by staff and customers.

That is just dreadful, absolutely disgusting at any level.
Cowardly.

I saw something similar at Boro in 97’ (the league cup game when they tried to kill our first team on the A19)

A dad with two kids (probs both under 10) was coming out of the ground in front of us and some cowardly shite knocked him out. His two kids were hysterical

Boro were absolute scum that evening and anyone in Sunderland colours was deemed fair game.

Since then, the only club Ive openly seen attack families (inc lasses) is Coventry at the SOL.

The first match we played against the mags at the SOL it seemed like every man and his dog was out for that one.

Roker avenue seemed to empty and hundreds went running down Bridge st to meet a big group of Mags being escorted over the bridge.

There was an article on the Paul Dodds website written by a couple of Leeds fans who just came up to watch the off field action who clearly stated they’d never seen such a mob as we had out that day , they reckoned we would have battered anyone .

No doubt Newcastle would have a different point of view.

"They're coming over the bridge" and then everywhere emptied  looked as though the road from the Wheatsheaf to the bridge was completely chocka with people up for it . Police struggled for a good while.

It was horrific mate. We went over to see if they were ok. Thankfully the bloke seemed ok, if dazed but it was dreadful - poor little lad man. We were quickly sussed by our accents and had to make a sharp exit.
I’ve got no issues with lads battling lads . That’s up to them.

But that ? .

Disgusting wankers.

Whoever did that wants dismantling.

Worst thing I've seen by a long way mate

Spot-on mate. We were on a coach from The Chesters and I think were the last one to arrive. It was quite the welcome - surprised we all made it to the turnstile.
My mate got knocked over by a motor pulling out of those little car parks, next to the coaches after. He and a Boro lad were going at it when a motor seemingly went at him. He was alright mind but, as you say, anyone seeemed fair game for them that night.
He was fine like, rolled over the bonnet like something from Starksy and Hutch.

Bastards.

When we got back nearer the buses we saw the crack, basically they had a spotter and were picking off people they thought couldn’t fight back, there was a canny dust up by the coaches and they got chased down the road with the police predictably late on the scene, the kid that got the belting can’t have been older than 17 but once he’d stuck one on an old fella he was fair game, hard to tell when they are ballied up though.

Honestly mate, it was bloody awful to see and, as I was driving that day, can remember it all like it was yesterday.
Thankfully, I've never seen that before or since.
