Trott

I can't see a way back for him regardless of how Ballance has faired at number 3 in tests.

And please god no more trott ever in ODI cricket, he may have scored runs but it's an archaic type of ODI cricket we need to get away from.

I can't see Trott coming back.

What's to say he won't have a relapse of his problems like Trescothick did?

Besides Ballance is scoring runs at No3 now and I can't see him being dropped.

Totally wrong like, got us to number 1 in world, lot of myths about the ODI England side, we got bowled out in 3 of the games after scoring more than India in the opening power play. He averages more than 50 in ODI cricket at a decent strike rate.

Aye no chance I'd want him involved, we are doing class without him

Which series in particular are on you about?

And if you're on about this one just gone, the Indians didn't even need to try to win games so why go gung ho in the powerplay?

No matter what sport we talk about, we're always clinging to the past.

Not saying I'd pick up for ODI stuff by the way, but his record needs more respect, he's a hell of a one day player and I don't get why people pick on him. No surprise that His county are in the cup final against us

I'd absolutely play Trott again at test level, we have this obsession with always planning long term, you need a core of long term players but sometimes you can bring a player in for one series to get the win, and I'd have no problem with him opening in the ashes

There is a lot of clamour for the likes of Taylor etc, but I have some reservations as the standard of bowling isn't great domestically at the minute in my opinion, big step up for some of these lads

Trott just used to stay in and score runs so I'm being unfair as you do need those players in ODI. But he used to annoy the hell out of me as there were many times we needed to push up the rate. He couldn't accelerate and we end up getting nowhere near enough but he'd score 50+.

I'd be up for playing him at Test level again if he can play abroad and deal with the pressure again.

Taylor just looks made for international cricket, I dunno why he just disappeared from the England set up after 2 games against the superb attack of the saffers.

I like Taylor but for me I think root and ballance are better players. I'd have Taylor as reserve to them two

There are going to be quickly, bouncy pitches in oz. We 100% need bell and it wouldn't be the worst idea to have cook if he was inform, against quality pace bowlers. Taylor sounds good on paper but in Australia against 90mph bowlers, would he score more runs than cook? It's debatable.
