I would expect nothing less tbh from a nation that's best effort of a chant at a cricket match is 'your a wanker'.

That' disgusting, but it's the press. I'd hate it if people looking at Britain thought the Press spoke for us.
Nope. Most comments at work today were mocking it. Australian medical research in that area may be good but mental health issues would be considered 'soft' innthe general public. It's very much a macho bloke society.

You have got to feel sorry for anyone with real mental illness.
But that being the case the timing of this issue does appear to be strange.
There are lots of folks because of work commitments who have necessarily got the be away from their loved one's for extended periods, the lads in the forces and those in the merchant marine who have spent their whole working lives of 30 years or more being 4 months way and 6 weeks at home.
I know I have acted professionally for quite a lot of merchant marine officers.
The flare up in Trott on the surface does appear to have a foundation in schoolyard behaviour.
"Teacher I'm not playing very well and the boys are calling me names. I want to go home"
We know that "Harmy had hissy fits" so if the selectors knew that Trott had real deep seated mental issues they should not have selected him and he should have told them he didn't want to go.
You can understand the Aussie's lack of sympathy we would in all truth act the same way if it was one of theirs.

As someone who has experience of depression and anxiety, I am sure the behaviour of the Australian press and team has had an effect. Australians have been, and always will be, poor sportsmen and poor human beings.

If only it was all that easy.

Well that's a shame, sorry to hear it. Hopefully things will change.[DOUBLEPOST=1385559036][/DOUBLEPOST]

Speak for yourself. I'm personally against abusing people with an illness irrespective of their nationality. It's a thing I do.
