Maybe not the original BUT it spoke so much for the attitudes I remember of that time.

It popped up in my Suggestions a few weeks ago and it was hard to connect her with Kiki Dee in the 70s.

This got to number 1 in the USA for 5 weeks and was the biggest US hit of 1967. In the UK it was the B side to "Let's Pretend" which only got to 11 so I think it counts

It was the first time I'd seen aa black actor play a lead role and Poitier (sp) was amazing.
