I listened to pod on Mowbray's departure with Pryde, Gabbiadini, Barnes, Bennett etc
Probably the most embarrassing piece of journalism I've heard on Sunderland.
Finished up asking Mag apologist Anderson who should start up front on Saturday

Full of cliches, contradictions & rubbish, could have gone to a Monkwearmouth school & got a more rational debate
Barnes was just making stuff up on the hoof cos he had nowt of substance to input.

What did Benno have to say as he’s been extremely vocal about Mowbrays “tactics” last few weeks.

I didn't listen to it, but my mate said a season ticket holder had text in,saying he won't be going back ffs! 🤣

It's safe to assume that Marco thought it was the wrong decision. A bit like having a pundit on a show who doesn't even get to the games to know what he's talking about?

.. I don't usually, though thought I'd tune in yesterday to see if any info on who's in the running .. The fella said he wouldn't renew next yeat. While I think it's a tad over the top, and he was probably just sounding off, I think there is a point to his criticism. If they go with all young kids and no experience, as looks to be the model, and the whole thing is likely to fall flat on it's face ..

I think it's bollocks, and the chap saying such stuff just sounds like a bit of an embarrassment for saying it. It wasn't long ago that folk where crying out for young lads as we'd become a retirement home for the Premierships old, injured and unwanted.

Let's face it, the kids we bought 2 year ago are no longer kids anyway...Clarke, Patto, Hume Niel, Ekwah and Ballard, they'd all be expected to be playing games around 21/22 alongside the older heads like Onien, Pritchard, Roberts, Evans and Batth if Mowbray had decided to keep him. Of course we're young, but we're not a group of U18's.

I think we'll always carry a few older heads, but I'm all for young and exciting players coming in. Paying prices for players in their prime is pretty much out of our reach for where we are at the moment.

.. I think you are really misunderstanding the model.. They have already got rid of older heads, and they had hoped to get rid of Prichard too. Mowbray couldn't play the older heads to start games as he was told to play the youngins. They only allowed him Dack, on a free, after he kept complaining about the mix. That's the second manager complaining about the same type of things..

.. We will see what happens in Jan, as we are weaker than last year. We lost three key players and haven’t replaced them, and it doesn't look like they want many experienced players as they are too expensive. Our spending is in the bottom third of the leauge..

.. Like every fan, I've have enjoyed the football and I'm m despite to see us do well, though we do look like we have started going backwards. Time will tell ..

Was he shite told to pick players, what a load of bollocks! I'm not even going to read the rest of your reply mate.

Of course Mowbray wasn't told to pick certain players, he never even hinted at it until he knew his time was up. If anything he talked up the likes of Mayenda, Burstow, Bellingham.

How can people think this actually happened?

I guess the poster above thinks the earth's f#xking flat cos he/she seen it on the Internet 🙈

Barnes indicates from time to time that some players are made promises (perhaps even contractually) that they have to play a certain amount of time. He did a similar thing with ONien a few years ago suggesting he had it in his contract that he wouldn't play right back again.

Surely he's just making this up?

His latest is that Jobe 'has to play', then was dropped so it was clearly a load of bollocks.

Benno was very supportive of Mowbray. He said our current position of 9th was about right for the squad we’ve got and said Mowbray had tried every combination of strikers without success.
He said whoever we appoint is going to face exactly the same issues.

Your first sentence about Mowbray being told who to pick was enough for me mate.

Absolute tripe! 😆
.. You didn't agree with something so you went on like thick child who couldn't cope, and have no idea about the rest. A normal person would just disagree.. You come across as a right cock. Have a word with yourself..
