Tony Mowbray

The club need to stick with him this summer. Forget this foreign trendy name shite.

The blokes been great and has clearly built a very good understanding and culture with the players. Back him and let him go again.

Tin hat on here. I really Mowbray and the football we’ve played.

BUT football is a ruthless business, and like our playing squad if KLD & Speakman think we can get a Head Coach to take us that step further we have to trust them.

There is no room for sentiment.

done an unbelievable job and would be criminal if he's replaced unless it's his decision to step back. would also heap a huge amount of pressure on the new bloke to hit the ground running

I love Tony, but you are spot on.

And when I say I love him, I mean it. What a bloke.

100% mate. Need to spend on strikers and centre backs.

As well as keeping those we’ve got
We need options. As you say 2 strikers and a centre back minimum but we need to add Diallo’s goals from midfield and we need to be able to change shape and style. Luton, Rotherham - the more physical sides we struggle with and we need to be able to drop more of that into the mix. That said to be fair Stewart Alese Ballard Baath and that was ours

He's the experienced Bobby Robson type of father figure these young lads need not some young inexperienced shouty gobshite when things aren't going well

I have no doubt this team with Mowbray will be back next year. Only thing that will stop a promotion is injuries.

This was a tough one but that penalty could have changed the trajectory of the game. Either way, I can't wait to see this team next season.

I just get the feeling he's going and will probably retire from management and move upstairs possibly at this club.

No smoke without fire when them manager rumours started flying around.

It’s absolutely nothing against Mowbray, he’s done wonders.

However, football continues to evolve and we can’t be sentimental. If the recruitment team heave a better alternative lined up to match how we want to play in order to keep us progressing we have to trust them.

He'll not get much credit generally away from here, but I think he's a great manager and really good tactically. In fact I don't think we've had a more pro-active tactician at any point. Basic example, but it feels like every manager we've had has had his subs dialled in for 15 minutes after they're needed, but Mogga is all over it.

He's played this fluid non-formation for the last few weeks and managed to get wingers and full backs out of position, with some of them having license to go forward and everyone else being aware of their responsibilities and those of everyone around them.

People will see him as an old fashioned manager because he's older and looks like he is chewing a wasp, but he's really f***ing good isn't he?

Know I’ll get blasted for it but if we’ve identified a highly promising head coach I’m happy to go for it. Don’t think Mowbray has done himself any favours tonight if a decision was in the balance.
I agree with the majority of your post but not the last bit.

Mowbrays done a fantastic job and its a result based business, He has however been dragged into the playoffs by magic from the likes of Roberts, Diallo and co.

I like his style of play but I would imagine a potential new coach would have the same style if we have done our homework.

Issue is for me the standards now been set so high if we dont get off to a good start, questions will be asked.

I’m not sure if Mowbray will get us promoted if I am entirely honest but he deserves another season.

Can people really see Mowbray managing in the Premier League again? I think Mowbray is comfortable managing in the Championship, it’s his level. Maybe the club want to go with a younger coach who’s going to be with us long term.
