Imagine if someone had told us this time last week when we were about to seal a 1-0 win at Stoke, that by next Saturday Neil would have left for Stoke and we'd have appointed Tony Mowbray as his replacement.

Tbf he did very well at West Brom playing good football. But was heavily criticised at Celtic after losing a record 0-4 to St f@@king Mirren.

Contract expired. Whether that was his choice or Blackburn's is unclear. He'd be a safe pair of hands and he doesn't seem to have problem playing young players.

Neil is a proper bloke, straight talking, decent presence, no nonsense.

Reid, Keane, Big Sam- the only modern successful managers at SAFC are the same personality

Big problem is that with this ‘model’ the board want a yes man that will listen to Speakman so that character is unlikely
