We had 48 points with 8 games to play. Decent chance that was enough points anyway. The only place there was any talk of Sunderland being relegated was the doom mongers on here.Prior to beating Cardiff it was

Maybe they don't post on here but they are super pessimistic to think we could go down with 51 points. 6 games to play and 11 points clear for fucks sake. That's not true - after the Blackburn result I heard more than a good few mates saying we were in free-fall and we could be drawn into a scrap - I don't think they get on here!
It was mathematically possible that’s the pointMaybe they don't post on here but they are super pessimistic to think we could go down with 51 points. 6 games to play and 11 points clear for fucks sake.

There was never any chance of a relegation scrap after that Blackburn game, happy clapping or not. It's not a 1 team league, 21 teams need to finish above you for you to get relegated.Happy Clappers 'R' Us! If you are happy to accept mediocrity...
6 games to play? How many points did we get in the previous 6/8 games? We could have ended up with 51 points which is normally just above the bottom quarter of the division.

To be fair, we are a lot closer to the relegation places than play offs. Fortunately Mowbray banked us the majority of the points needed. We had 48 points with 8 games to play. We've basically been nowhere near either for the whole run in. A playoff chasing team that fell away very early, but never into relegation trouble. To be fair, we are a lot closer to the relegation places than play offs. Fortunately Mowbray banked us the majority of the points needed.
No I think technically we need to hit 55 points as it stands todayAre we safe yet
Miserable smoggyNo I think technically we need to hit 55 points as it stands today
If Sheff Wed beat Stoke, both can get 55 points. ( Hudd beat Bristol ( 55) Brum beat Cov ( 54) . Ply beat Leics (57) Blackburn beat Leeds (58)
Then all the above win the week after its Stoke V Ply Stoke win means they can get 55 still and Ply 54
Blackburn v Sheff Wed is a Sheff Wed win then both can get 55
Then Hudd v Brum on 27th April Brum win (54) and Hudd down to 52
Plymouth beat Millwall ( still 54) but Millwall down to 56 max
Last day Mill beat Swansea so they still 56 . Swansea drop to 56 ( as they lost to Hudd)
So Brum/Plymouth 54 and Hudd 52 alongside Rotherham
As it stands we need 55 points
Hope that helps
Should have put money on that doubleNo I think technically we need to hit 55 points as it stands today
