Tommy Watson

2 starts in 10 games during his loan at Millwall so far.

176 minutes played.
Weird that. Cos he said in the press that if he’d have stopped with us he’d have had loads more game time than at Brighton.

I’ll be the first to say, there’s a potential player there, but he looked way off last season & not making much of an impact at Millwall this year.

However, that goal 😍

Was starting to look excellent, then that daft pass from Rigg and he was out injured when he was flying.

I have to say I did expect him to be doing better than he is at Millwall. He is developing still as a player, but he does really need to be producing displays like dare I say like Jack Clarke in his final season here. It’s not looking good for the lad.

It’s a shame to see him struggling for game time in the second tier. Would’ve have kicked on here I’m not sure. Look his goal will make him a hero for us regardless what he goes on to do I just wonder if we overhyped the lad when he first broke through. Hope he proves me wrong and goes on to be a good top flight player.

Got to say I disagree with that like. He played well against Stoke, but was far from being excellent in his other games. Average at best.

I think we can all see he’s got a chance. But he’s been a million miles off men’s football apart from a couple of flashes here & there.

Yeah mate the Stoke game, maybe one other and the whichever game he got injured. I mean he was just starting to look very good. Think he's got more to his game than Clarke as he can use his left foot. Probably another loan next season but he needs to crack on.

Honestly I just think he’s not that good.

Definitely not good enough for a team which is 2nd in the Champo anyway. Needs a loan to a lower end team in that division to get a game.

Look at Adringa at Monaco. They’ve put his success down to playing in a side who dominates games.

I know we do like to sit back a bit, but that’s both us & Millwall who are portion candidates where he should be tearing into the full back
