Tommy Watson

There was a home game last season we won 2-1 in which he scored both goals and could have had further goals/assists. Then he was out for two months injured. Then his goal promoted us.

Among all that a Premier League team paid £10m for him even though he hadn't played much for a Championship club.

So your comments a little harsh no ?
He's never played - he'll go down as an expensive mistake for brighton

I beg to differ.

I'm more worried about Brighton having our pants down over 24 year old Ivory Coast International with 60 Premier League appearances for Brighton behind him before he joined us, Simon Adringa at the moment.

So approx 25% of their pl games he's featured in, and now they're willing to loan him out - success story right there
He's 19. They're a good club for developing players. They'll loan him out to get match experience and he'll come back in the summer better for it

I said they'd had our pants at the time and stand by it

I'm not arguing about adingra mind - apart from the shit left back from Ajax we've already fucked off he's the worst of our summer spree

Weren't we warned by Brighton fans about him ?

The clubs Summer 2025 transfer dealings have overwhelmingly so far been successful.

But it's sadly looking like the £20m we paid for Adingra has been wasted.
He could possibly still come good, but at 24 you wonder how much improvement is left in him.

It's funny because we were linked with him in January 2025 as part of a possible Watson deal, so he's obviously been on our radar for a while

He's quick and skilful but gets knocked off the ball and makes poor decisions on what to do and when to do it IMO. I find him quite likeable and always seems positive in the club's clips even though he's having a slower season than some of the other recruits so I hope he does very well for us

He's what I would call a "floor raiser" in that he makes our squad better, but he's not a ceiling raiser in that he'll drag you to new heights with his ability. And I don't see why we needed to spend £20m for that type of player last summer

Either way, I should probably stop having a pop at Adingra in a Watson thread

Oh dear
19 year old featuring in 6 PL games for a mid table side, with a record of improving players and selling for huge profits, goes on loan to further his development. League 2 soon.

Some very bitter posts on here.
I reckon Lamb Chop is Ian Harte - Tommy Watson refused to sign him as his agent, fingered his daughter a few times (allegedly) then fucked off to Brighton

He can’t get a game at Brighton though. Would he start here?
At age 19 time is on his side though.

Honestly if you look at the left wingers we have now, and the two we have sold recently.

Talbi.
Adingra.
Mundle.
Clarke.
Watson.

You couldn't get a cigarette paper between them ability wise, but i'd prefer to have Talbi, Clarke and Watson if it was a choice of 3 out of the 5.
