Tommy Watson

I hope when we play Brighton next season in premier ( if not get them in a cup ) Hume snaps him in 2 the snake

Did you not read what I posted? He wasn't getting stick till he decided to pissoff and walk off the pitch on his own.

You can tell by the way nobody went over to Watson. I posted this before but Watson came out on his own 2nd half yesterday and was wandering around the pitch for a minute or so before everyone else came out. Very strange
Looked from the TV as though Mepham and Neil were going spare at him on more than one occasion.

On a personal level he's probably worried that an injury will scupper his involvement in Brighton's pre-season and his failure to totally commit is largely down to RLB's incompetence. He should only be used as an impact sub with ten minutes left tbh and that will likely be his role at Brighton if he's lucky

I don’t think he’s very well liked…
Ive heard that he has always been giving it Billy Big B. Let him crack on imo

Aparently he is to be loaned out for the first few years, that was part of the contract he has signed....!

Doesn't mean anything these days, look at Jobe, Birmingham lad wasn't he and left for us.
A very fair point. So this generation are Mercenaries? Gone are the days of Steven Gerrard levels of loyalty, to their Boyhood clubs. That would be very sad. Parents 'rubbing their hands with glee' as their 17/18 year old kid gets a payrise.

I was talking to a lad a couple of years ago on holiday who worked with young up and coming professional footballers.
He said that one of the hardest parts was dealing with the parents because the roles switched where they were the providers but the money on offer to the young lads meant that they became the providers

The only way to keep them would be to be successful and pay them the going rate. They'll have had ambitions of playing for the local team but ultimately it will be to play at the very highest level being paid the most possible. Not all teams can offer that
I bet if gerrard came through at Everton, he'd have gone to someone like man Utd or Chelsea ie the best of that era

Loads players liked his post on insta that he was moving
tbf the club are trying to create a place where youn players want to come to better their career and potentially move on

if they vilify him, then it will put others off

like what would Jobe think...is this gonna happen to me etc?
Jobe and Rigg looked very popular

When Jobe and Rigg do leave us as they eventually will and will probably outgrow us. They will both leave with our best wishes as they have respected the shirt and the badge, engaged with the fans and gave their all and earned us some coin. Plus Rigg is a mag/mag family and he has done all that. I'll literally follow them two their whole career and always wish them the best and want them to succeed for club and country.

Watson is suppose to be a Sunderland fan as far as I know from East Durham. No problem with him leaving, it's the prem, more money and fashionable Brighton. I also appreciate he doesn't want to get injured but his attitude is shocking. No doubt he has heard the fans in the stand and even read on here probably and other platforms so probs another reason for his attitude.
