Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

"Splitter"

Anyone know him? Has he 'dumped' us after 12 years or the club has? And will they be more astute when it potentially happens again with our other young players. Players who the club have developed for over a decade. Only to be sold at the 1st opportunity, for peanuts.
Or it could be that it just works for everyone, wouldn’t say it’s peanuts either. How do you think they can stop it anyway? I suppose they can to a degree by holding him to his contract

It would be nuts, unless he's leaving at the 1st opportunity and zero loyalty to the club that raised fim.

Got any info mate?
It was wasn’t the first opportunity though. Very well documented in the media and discussed in here.
A big part of football are the transfers that happen. Players may want to move on, the clubs may want to cash in, the fans may want new players to be brought in and current players moved on. It’s just football.

So hang on a minute, Watson is a 19 year old lad, still a Sunderland player, has earned the club circa £10m plus, he's available to play and we have grown men having a go at him?

We're about to compete in the playoffs, some of our fans seriously have to sort their heads out. Going on mental.

Probably the most overrated player we’ve ever had. Will be loaned to the championship by next year, then sold
Some exaggeration that.

You'd think he'd shagged their lass the way some are going on.

I think it's more the fact that this club, have invested 10+ years and he has fuckedd off at the 1st opportunity, 10, years.

I was frustrated when they announced it and taking Speakman at his word, he showed little desire to stay.

But, we need him now. He needs to play as he's the next best option on the left. Put him in, hopefully he'll handle the odd boo and maybe help us out until Mundle returns...

I think Mayenda has offers more out there but your right, we need to encourage him
