I thought there was some sort of rule that players couldn’t be approached and certainly couldn’t sign outside the window - the whole purpose being not to unsettle a squad mid season and not to have ‘lame duck’ players cluttering up the squads and potentially causing unrest in the dressing room when they’re already mentally checked out.

If this is going to be a common thing then it makes the transfer window utterly pointless a meringue?

I'm not a fan of the egotistical, malnourished little chinless wonder. But, get him in the team if he's needed. Some in here going on the same way the deluded scousers are going on about TAA. Let him do a job (and maybe pick up a sneaky injury in the playoff final when we're 3v0 up against Leeds with a minute to go 🤪).

You can see it now, as a stormer in the final to secure promotion or left to rot as we miss out on hundreds of millions.

Let's be totally honest here- we will look to move anyone on and maximise the money in when any player is coming into 2 years contract left and not looking like signing another. We might have played an absolute blinder with Stewart but it was a one off and they'll try to avoid another situation like that. Hence having not quite went through in January we'll have been likely talking to Watson and Brighton since then and made it happen.

.I agree. Though I'd also like someone else to come in be it Mayenda or someone else take the place and leave him on the bench for the rest of the season 😀

I reckon today was maybe just keeping the heat off him to a degree, maybe also preferring our own players thinking Mayenda could get behind them.

Gotta say I’m also torn on it. The petulant child in me is saying “fuck you judas, you can take your 20 pieces of silver and you can forcibly insert them somewhere so hard that it makes sitting on our bench very, very difficult for you”

But then the part of me that wants the club to do well thinks that by not playing him we are cutting our noses off to spite our faces. If he plays better on the wing than Rigg does in the centre, then it makes sense to rest Rigg and bring Le Feé into the centre.

But then also, just look at how well Jobe developed over the summer having been flogged to death last season. Maybe it’s better in the long run to stick with Rigg and play Le Feé on the left.
 
Just pick the strongest side. And even if Mundle is out for the season that won't include Tommy Watson, unless Le Fee, Mayenda, and maybe Aleksic are all out as well.

Jobe has barely missed a game over last 2 seasons and deserves a move to a PL team if we don't get promoted, he has grafted his balls off for the team.

Watson has played a handful of games and is desperate to move for a few extra ££££££.
