Reckon there's a good player in the making there but if he wants away fuck him and never get a player through our doors with any affiliation to Ian Harte ever again

Being 3 places higher in the same league is completely different to a Premier League club competing for Europe signing a Championship player. Haway man.Higher up the food chain ain't the.
Let's just go and take Middlesbrough and Birminghams best players right now, after all we're higher in the food chain.
Incidentally where do European clubs like let's say Strasbourg, Celta Vigo and Union Berlin sit in the food chain stakes?
They must be or he wouldn’t have moved ?Bollocks
We don’t play Aleksic though, last weekend we used 2 subs only in the 88th min and he sat on the bench. I can’t see how you think he has a future with us when the current management think so low of him.Not sure what Brighton see in him. Hes terrible defensively which is a requirement of the modern attacking wide player. Body language always looks negative and is weak as piss. One player I’m really not bothered about leaving, especially for £10m. I’d rather give the likes of Aleksic a go for the rest of the season.
Welcome to The Model.Watson wanted to go, in the end we had to let him go, his message was utter bollocks, Sunderland fan desperate to leave at 18, bizarre. Wait and see if we go up.
However, I am doubting our plans overall for the first time, its not a good sign that we could not get one of our own to sign a deal, been here since 6. We clearly give young players game time, and have a great eye for a player, but this is Sunderland and it has to end up with consistent premier league footy. And Iam not convinced it will.
I think the aim is more to be self sufficient, which is obviously not a bad thing, but we dont seem to be able to match wages or ambitions of players. Selling Clarke and spendin the money on 2 players have contributed absolutely nothing this season, but will probs be good in a years time, kind of sums it up.
I dunno, I am rambling a bit but this disapointed me and its not a good look
I really dont like the comments by Speakman (who I always defend) in this and the Clarke deals. Along the lines of "proud of our role in his development"....and for me that is just utter bollocks, proud to flog our best player to f***ing Ipswich and proud to sell off one of our best young talents before he has barely kicked a ball for us. That is not what the club should be about.
Not for me thanks.
BTW there is absolutely no way Watson should play another minute for our first team or Under 21 team...again this is not my usual position...but fuck him...no chance.
I'm not seeing it as a worry long term tbh. I think his situation is a little different because he seems to have a very high opinion of his own ability, has had his head turned by PL interest, and probably the one thing we could offer him over a PL side (game time) is something we just wouldn't do when it's Mundle's position. Mundle (as you'd expect given he's that bit older) is more use to us on the pitch at the minute, and is likely to go for a lot of money if he keeps developing and we cash in. If Watson wasn't prepared to bide his time then that's his call. I'm sure we'll find another promising young left sided player who will be prepared to be patientWatson wanted to go, in the end we had to let him go, his message was utter bollocks, Sunderland fan desperate to leave at 18, bizarre. Watson gone , so takes pressure off selling others , if we don't go up can see jobe and rigg staying as on long contracts, if niel goes so be it ,They must be or he wouldn’t have moved ?
Facts are this, he wanted more money, one contract could set him up for life, our owners have zero ambition proved in the window. Jude rigg neill and a few others will leave if we don’t go up. But let’s keep happy clapping eh. Utter farce which I predicted and got Pelters for. This is the start of it. Enjoy lads.

Jobe will be gone, irrelevant of what league we will be in.Watson gone , so takes pressure off selling others , if we don't go up can see jobe and rigg staying as on long contracts, if niel goes so be it ,
Think we have a chance of one more season as long as we are promoted.Jobe will be gone, irrelevant of what league we will be in.
He has done his apprenticeship here mate, he'll be off. Rigg will stay another season imo.Think we have a chance of one more season as long as we are promoted.
He won't be playing in the championship next year.

You can't lock down young playersHe should have a high opinion of his own ability....as he is lots of ability.
This has not just happened over night...he should have been locked down years ago.
I expect other young academy lads to leave going forward myself
Jobe will leave regardless...poss Rigg too. Always been my view.
You're right. The start of the model. "Got brass.. in pocket."They must be or he wouldn’t have moved ?

You do realise he's only 18 years old and you think he needs a contract for life now ....as for having a pop at the club you do also realise the lad's got one year left on his contract and wants to go so I think it's a good deal for the club as things stand...also best of look to the ladThey must be or he wouldn’t have moved ?
