Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

18month left and he obviously wanted to go.

If 10m is true, seems like decent business, had a few good games but muddle keeps him out the team for me

I think there has to be a bigger picture here.
Perhaps the club are thinking selling Watson this year means we can hold on to Rigg or Jobe.
Hopefully it doesn’t mean we are desperate for the money / in any kind of trouble.

But from the outside it did seem that the club were very ok with this move going ahead on transfer deadline day.
It's absolutely irrelevant this mind jobe won't be here regardless

On the one hand ten million seems very good money for a player who’s played less than 20 first team games and not done all that much in them. On the other hand, he’s a young lad that has a lot of potential. Overall I just feel we sell our players a bit cheap - if someone like Bellingham, Rigg or Neil goes for less than £40 million this summer, we’re doing something wrong.

Nobody is paying close to £40m for Neil

Whatever we offered him would be nowhere near the amount Brighton have. Add to that Brighton’s excellent record for developing players and you have a very attractive proposition.
I agree with that mate definitely. Just disagree that we offer poor wages to players. Gets said every time a player leaves, but the fact most players are happy to extend says otherwise.

The most spiteful post yet, well done
He got himself straight down there in January before a deal was announced, he’s wanted out why should I want anything else for him? It’s also pretty common that they go chasing the money end up in some premier league u21 team rather than getting 1st team minutes and do nothing else
