There are a few sources broadly saying the same thing. Which part of this suggests Watson is not earning 600 quid as reported?

That’s just some random website that’s plucked some numbers out of their arse. I mean he had made his first team debut by sept 23 so was near the first team for a start. The likes of Bell, Jenson Jones , Dan Cameron etc who signed their first pro deals in the summer would likely be around 600 a week, maybe a touch less

There are no good sources showing player salaries, as they are not disclosed.

The salary will be entirely based on demand. If Watson hadn't signed the deal the compo would have been something like £40k per year in the academy. As he was in demand, he would have got a decent offer.

No idea what that would be, as there aren't really any reliable sources.

Curious what sources are these

Looked to me like someone posted it on here and it became a 'fact' in the last few days

If there are several sources then it will clarify it
 
He’s going to be an important player for the run in, all being well having the likes of him, Rigg and Mayanda on the bench to bring on if our strongest side is fit, will be great and is badly needed.

Especially as they'll both be struggling for match fitness. They're of a similar standard so impact subbing will be needed and should have a negative impact.

Watson isn't what's important here.
Don't get me wrong I'm delighted he's stayed- but beyond that we have sent a message to any suitor of Rigg and Jobe that we won't be pushed around.

I think demanding the Ivorian lad the other way was a bit of a master stroke. We gauged their interest level and also gave them a bit of their own medicine (I reckon they leaked their bid- and we leaked that they were willing to let us speak to their winger).

I also like the idea that we were arrogant as fuck with it.

Mental how that’s an incredible wage for any other career. And his next one will probably be 10-20x better.

You don't know 'he wants Brighton that much'. Rather than look for a problem with a young lad, and you have no idea what has happened there, best to leave it in the past. He's still here, according to SAFC and Brighton valuations of a lad who has barely played, you'd have to think he's going to be a very good player for us.
